HQL: Handgun Qualification License

This is a Maryland required course to purches a handgun in the state of Md. Along with this course and the Md application and fingerprints, will allow you to file with the MD state police for a HQL. After receiving your HQL from the MD state police you will be able purchase or transfer a handgun

Reminder a HQL is not a permit to carry a firearm. A permit to carry a firearm will not allow you to purchase a firearm.

Maryland Handgun Permit "CCW"

This is a Maryland required course to "Carry a Concealed handgun". This course along with additional paperwork and fingerprinting, will allow you to file with the MD state police for a handgun carry permit. This course can also count towards your HQL.  It is Highly recomended you have experience with a handgun prior to taking this course.
